KPUM LAWATAN EDISI
Organised by the United Kingdom & Ireland Malaysian Law Students’ Union
or Kesatuan Penuntut Undang-Undang Malaysia di UK dan Eire (KPUM), YLC was
invited to do a presentation at this event which was conducted by Alvin Oh,
Shugan Raman and Daniel Annamalai and moderated by Shruthi from KPUM. The
event was held via Zoom from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The session ended with a
Kahoot Quiz which saw three students winning Webinar Vouchers for YLC events.  6 to 8 July 2021
BASIC CONVEYANCING PRACTICE WORKSHOP
Organised by the Corporate & Conveyancing Practice Committee, this
workshop was held from 6 to 8 July 2021 via Zoom. The 2:00pm to 4:00pm
session on 6 July 2021 was presented by Dennis Teoh and moderated by
Kimberley Wong May Yen and the 4:00pm to 6:00pm session was presented by
R.Yogeswari and moderated by Sarguna Kumaari Munusamy.
There were three sessions on 7 July 2021 – the first session from 2:00pm to
3:00pm was presented by Susan Joseph, the second session from 3:00pm to
5:00pm was presented by Donny Kwa Soo Chuan and both were moderated by Kuan
Jia Yin. The last session from 5:00pm to 6:00pm was presented by Chong Wai
Kuan and moderated by Irene Tan Ean Chieen.
The session on 8 July 2021, held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, was presented by
Susan Joseph and moderated by Kimberley Wong May Yen. We had 106

PUPILS INTRODUCTION SESSION
The Pupils Introduction Session in June was held online via Zoom from 2:30pm
to 5:30pm. Led by Rajsurian Pillai, the session was attended by 79 pupils.
The purpose of the Pupils Introduction Session was to introduce pupils to the
structure of the Malaysian Bar and the Kuala Lumpur Bar, the election to both
the Bar Council and the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee (“KLBC”) and the
highlights of the Malaysian Bar. It included a session for pupils to raise
issues and problems faced by them during their pupillage period.
Also included in the said Pupils Introduction Session was a session on
“Diversity & Inclusion” which aim was to educate and create awareness
among the pupils on, inter alia, issues related to gender sensitisation,
sexual harassment and unconscious bias. The session was conducted by Numan
Afifi, Founder of Pelangi Campaign, Human Rights Activist and Thulasy
Suppiah, Chairperson of the Gender Equality & Diversity Committee.
