An Introduction To Family Law
Organised by the Professional Development Committee, this interactive webinar was conducted by Choo Dee Wei. It was held via Zoom Meeting from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. We had 31 participants.

Islamic Wills (Wasiat)
Organised by the Corporate & Conveyancing Practice Committee, this webinar was presented by Nahzatul Ain and moderated by Lim Yin Faye. It was held via Zoom Webinar from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. The webinar covered, amongst others, “Verification of Islamic Wills’”; “Islamic Wills vs Faraid”; “Probate and Islamic Wills”; and “Conveyance of property based on Islamic Wills”. We had 101 participants.

Organised by the Professional Development Committee, this interactive webinar was conducted by Rajsurian Pillai and moderated by Kuhan Manokaran. It was held via Zoom Meeting from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. We had 63 participants.

Sexual Harassment: What It Is And What To Do If You Are A Victim
Jointly organised by the Gender Equality & Diversity Committee, the Pupils Committee and the Young Lawyers Committee, this webinar was conducted by Emellia Shariff, Yu Ren Chung and Thulasy Suppiah and moderated by Rajsurian Pillai. Ramadan Food Distribution Donation Drive
The Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee, participating in solidarity with our Muslim brethren during the fasting month, organised a food distribution donation drive from 12 to 23 April 2021. We managed to raise RM6,880.00 which we have channelled to Kechara Soup Kitchen and Pertiwi Soup Kitchen, two food-distribution NGOs, for them to provide meals to the homeless in the holy month of Ramadan. Our deepest  gratitude to all who have generously contributed to this donation drive which, we are sure, have brought some joy and warmth to the many around us who starve without a choice.

Pupils Introduction Session
The Pupils Introduction Session in April was held online via Zoom. Led by Rajsurian Pillai, the session was attended by 82 pupils. The purpose of the Pupils Introduction Session is to introduce pupils to the structure of the Malaysian Bar and the Kuala Lumpur Bar, the election to both the Bar Council and the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee (“KLBC”) and the highlights of the Malaysian Bar. It included a session for pupils to raise issues and problems faced by them during their pupillage period.
 
Also included in the said Pupils Introduction Session was a session on “Diversity & Inclusion” which aim was to educate and create awareness among the pupils on, inter alia, issues related to gender sensitisation, sexual harassment and unconscious bias. The session was conducted by Goh Siu Lin - former KLBC Chairman and Thulasy Suppiah - Chairperson, KLBC Gender Equality & Diversity Committee.
