26th February 2009, 17th Annual General Meeting of the Kuala Lumpur Bar - Anand Ponnudurai was today elected as the new Chairman of the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee for 2008/09 defeating Colin Andrew Pereira. The incumbent Chairman, R. Ravindra Kumar who had served for two terms, did not seek re-election.
Meanwhile, Brendan Navin Siva was elected unopposed as the new Kuala Lumpur Bar's Representative to the Bar Council. 9 members were nominated and declared elected to serve on the Committee. The 9 members were Datuk N. Sivananthan, Reggie Wong Mew Sum, Richard Wee Thiam Seng, Dipendra Harshad Rai, Lai Chee Hoe, Muhendaran Suppiah, Pushpa Ratnam, Saha Deva Arunasalam and Ravinder Singh Dhalliwal.
