Organised by the Young Lawyers Committee, this hike was held on 2 March 2024 at
Sri Bintang Hill. It was held from 7:30am to 9:30am and was attended by 83
participants.
Yayasan Bantuan Guaman Kebangsaan (YBGK) Training for Lawyers (Part 3)
The Bar Council Legal Aid Centre (Kuala Lumpur) (“LAC KL”), organised Part 3 of the YBGK training. The training was held at the LAC KL Training Room, Level 3 Wisma Badan Peguam Malaysia. The training focused on Criminal Trial Advocacy. It was conducted on 4 & 5 March 2024 by Collin Andrew from 9:00am to 5:00pm. 17 lawyers attended the training.
LAC Pupil’s Training Batch 117/2023
Organised by the Legal Aid Centre (Kuala Lumpur) (“LAC KL”), the LAC Pupils’ Programs training for Batch 117/2023 was conducted from 6 to 15 March 2024. The training sessions for these programs were conducted at the Bar Council Auditorium and LAC KL training room. The trainers were Morhaneraj a/l Rajakumaran, Narandra a/l Kangatharan, Selvaraja a/l Chinniah, Teoh Alvare, Abd Shukor Tokachil , Parvinder Kaur, Sumitra Devi, Zulsyahmi Husaini bin Kamarulzaman and representatives from the respective NGO Partners.

The training focused on the YBGK administration and the procedures for Arrest, Remand, Bail and Mitigation. It was conducted by the LAC KL Chairperson, Morhaneraj Rajakumaran and Rajsurian Pillai from 9:00am to 6:00pm. 31 lawyers attended the training.

Invitation to “Program Libat Urus Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Bersama Masyarakat”
The Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee was invited to attend the engagement session with the Director of Criminal Investigation Department with the society. The programme was held on 9 March 2024 at 9:00am at Dewan Pusat Komuniti TTDI, Kuala Lumpur.
The aim of this programme was to provide opportunities for society and government agencies to interact directly with the Royal Malaysia Police to discuss social issues in society.
This programme was attended by the KLBC Chairman, Alvin Oh Seong Yew, Chairperson of the Criminal Law Practice Committee, Rajsurian Pillai and Chairperson of the Legal Aid Centre, Morhaneraj Rajakumar.
