Kuala Lumpur Bar Grand Prix 2022
The Kuala Lumpur Bar Grand Prix Sprint Race 2022 (“the Race”) was held on 15 October 2022 (Saturday) from 9:00am to 11:30am at City Karting, Go-Kart Circuit, Stadium Car Park, Western 5, Seksyen 13, 40000 Shah Alam, Selangor. A total of 21 participants registered to take part in this event. Click here to view the video.
The top three winners of the Race were:
1. Ng Sze Yung;
2. Leon Tai; and
3. Wang Da Wei.
Ng Sze Yung also held the fastest timing during the Qualifying Session of the Race (“Fastest Qualifying Time”).

Pupils Introduction And Diversity & Inclusion Session
The Pupils Introduction Session in September was held online via Zoom from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Led by Weera Premananda, the session was attended by 72 pupils. The purpose of the Pupils Introduction Session was to introduce pupils to the structure of the Malaysian Bar and the Kuala Lumpur Bar, the election to both the Bar Council and the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee (“KLBC”) and the highlights of the Malaysian Bar. It included a session for pupils to raise issues and problems faced by them during their pupillage period.
Also included in the said Pupils Introduction Session was a session on “Diversity & Inclusion: Unconscious Bias”. The aim of this segment is to educate and create awareness about how our unconscious bias(es) and innate prejudices lead to poor judgment, poor decision-making and in turn result in unintentional discrimination leading to overall poor "diversity & inclusivity" practices in our workplaces. The session was conducted by Thulasy Suppiah, Chairperson of the Gender Equality & Diversity Committee.

Visit From International Islamic University Malaysia To The Bar Council Legal Aid Centre Kuala Lumpur Office
The visit to Bar Council Legal Aid Centre Kuala Lumpur (“LAC KL”) was organised by the International Islamic University Malaysia (“IIUM”) Legal Aid Club and The Asian Law Students’ Association IIUM to create awareness amongst their students on the legal aid services provided by LAC KL. A briefing session was held for the students at the Bar Council Auditorium and the speakers for the briefing were Terrence Lee Rohui, Rajsurian Pillai a/l Chellapa Pillai, and Morhaneraj Rajakumaran .
