With the World Cup 2010 set in June, the timing was just right for the participants to display their grits and skill against one another. Many turned up in their England, Germany, Argentina and even Malaysian jerseys, as true testament of their loyalty to the countries.
The tournament manages to attract the attention of 4 teams, primarily participation from the YLC,
Everyone showcased there wits and skill in the tournament, from the Xavi trademark short-passes, Klinsman’s diving header, Gerrard’s powershot to Casillas reflex save were all on display.
It was a joyful event be it on or off the turf. The crowds were unwavering in their support for the teams, which just adds fuel to the participants on-field.
In sum, the goal of such tournament was more to do with allowing the participants to congregate and be acquainted with one another rather than mainly focusing on the action on field. Nonetheless it was enlightening to see everyone gathering and achieving this goal in the spirit of football-the ‘Beautiful Game’.
