LexisNexis donated part of the funds raised from the entry fees for the Hunt to Philea Home, a shelter for underprivileged children. 60% of the proceeds were donated to the Home. The money will be used to finance the educational needs of the children at the Home. The remaining funds have been directed to the KL Bar to fund a community development project or a charitable organisation.
The KL Bar Committee Chairman, Anand Ponnudurai expressed satisfaction at the success of the Hunt. “The KL Bar was pleased to once again work with LexisNexis in this year’s treasure Hunt. We support the initiative taken by LexisNexis towards its Corporate Social Responsibility and would strongly encourage Malaysian Bar members from other states, as well as chambering students to take part,” said Anand.
